Former WWF superstar Raymond Rougeau (of The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers) recently mentioned Sylvain in an interview he did with In Your Head Radio.
Barbie asks what Raymond thought of Rene Dupree and Sylvan Grenier. Raymond says the tag team didn’t do much for him. Raymond knows that they were green at the time, but they didn’t do much for him.
ToW‘s next show takes place on 9 July and they are going extreme! The card at this point of time is as follows:
Kevin Steen vs Dru Onyx
Green Phantom (c) vs the Arsenal vs Beef Wellington (IWS title match under IWS rules)
Sex Factor (c) (Sexxxy Eddy & Jeremy “the Prophet” Barnoff) vs Twin Terrors with Adib-Mansour (ToW Tag Team Championship match) Sylvain Grenier vs Darkko (First Blood match)
Van Hawk vs Leon Saver vs EXESS (3-way table match)
Since René Duprée had been drafted to Smackdown, La Résistance were on a roll. They challenged the then-World Tag Team champions of Edge and Chris Benoit in Montreal, where they came out to a rather huge pop. The match went back and forth until Edge went to spear Sylvain who saw it coming and moved, resulting in Edge spearing Benoit. They then did their tandem move Au Revoir with Sylvain covering Edge for the pinfall.
Taking a trip down memory lane to bring you La Resistance’s debut on Raw on 28 April 2003! This was back during the war in Iraq and the French Government (amongst others – my own Government was one of those that didn’t support it) had decided that they wouldn’t support it. Various La Resistance vignettes had aired during the previous weeks, indicating that they would be debuting very soon.
ToW’s next show in Montreal takes place at the Pierre Charbonneau Centre at 7.30pm. The ToW website currently shows the card for the show, which is always subject to change:
* James Storm/Robert Roode vs Sexxxy Eddy/Jeremy Barnoff
* PCO (Pierre Carl Ouellet) vs Desmond Wolfe
* Sylvain Grenier vs Dru Onyx
* Handsome JF vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan
* Darrko vs Pee Wee vs Franky the Mobster
* Kevin “the Nemisis” Skully vs Exess
